About the role
Carrier Transicold refrigerated transport solutions help to improve daily life for people around the world. Carrier Transicold helps improve transport of temperature controlled goods with a complete line of equipment and services for refrigerated transport and cold chain visibility.
For more than 50 years, Carrier Transicold has been an industry leader, providing customers around the world with advanced, energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable transport refrigeration systems for light commercial vehicles, trucks and trailers.
The Carrier Transicold Italy Service Manager is the one in charge to lead one of the most important activities within the Carrier Organization.
This person will be the leader of both internal and external teams in the market.
The Manager will be the one in charge of helping the Italian Service network to grow, sharing the Carrier Values, the technical knowledge and identifying the gaps the network must develop.
Under this person responsibility there is a team of people working to provide the services and the support the market needs.
The Service Manager is responsible to achieve the targets on volume / margin by different sales tiers, segments and channels.
Develop service network across the country as well as defined by the Go-To-Market strategy.
Closely work with the central European team on the Service activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize the after-sales service function and optimize results
- Ensure quality and brand standards within the network
- Develop sales of PRs and services by targeting turnover and margins
- Manage a team: objectives, skills management, motivation, etc.
- Report regularly to the Managing Director France and the Director Europe Service.
- In agreement with General Management, defines the strategy for developing sales of services. In this role, develops and supervises the PR, telematics and contracts service offering for the network and end customers.
- Supervises the implementation of the customer service policy for the network (private network)
- Takes part in cross-functional projects relating to electrification, digital technology and the roll-out of new business ERPs: in particular, the roll-out of tools and methods for the introduction of preventive maintenance and the management of electric and hydrogen-powered fleets.
- Manages the PR Sales and Technical Support team: provides effective and responsive management by ensuring the right level of selection, development and coaching of the team, and by setting an ethical example.
- Adopts a fair and open management style, ensuring two-way communication with employees.
Requirements
- Engineering degree.
- Post-graduate degrees from business schools or general or self-made educational establishments with multi-site management experience.
- Fluent in English and Italian.
- Quality management in after-sales services for industrial goods, public works, lorries and cars.
- Experience in the HGV and transport industry (knowledge of on-board refrigeration is a plus) or in a related field is a real asset.
