As a Construction Analyst at NORESCO, you will have a great deal of interaction with our Construction, Accounting and Finance teams throughout the country along with Legal, Development, and other NORESCO functional departments.

For each of NORESCO’s projects, the Construction team is required to do a financial forecast each month.   The Construction Analyst is responsible for the overall process of consolidating and analyzing the monthly forecasts. You will be part of a team that works closely with the Accounting and Finance group during each month’s financial close.  Given the nature of the role and working with others, it is of utmost importance to possess good listening, communication, and computer skills. You will report to the Manager of Financial Operations.  As an integral part of that team, you will have ownership and input into the processes surrounding financial forecasting.  At NORESCO, teamwork is essential as every person on our team plays a vital role in the successful completion of every project.

Key responsibilities for this position:

  • Collaborating with various departments to prepare monthly forecasts.
  • Conducting comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Generating periodic financial reports for management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process.
  • Providing financial consulting and strategic support to management.
  • Assist with group training on finance and accounting standards.
  • Work with Development to produce project development cost backup reports that are submitted to the Government on Federal projects.
  • Assist in managing NORESCO’s internal forecasting application.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the various departments as needed.

Requirement Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree. 
  • 2+ years experience in accounting, data entry, documentation, or experience with the Microsoft Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
  • Master's degree or equivalent professional qualification will be considered an advantage
  • Highly preferred understanding of GAAP standards.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, information technology, and Microsoft Office.  Heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with IBM Cognos or other reporting application.  
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Pay Range:

$73,750 - $103,250 Annually
