This role is a full-time summer internship (40 hours a week) during the summer months.

Automated Logic is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented Assistant Project Management Intern to be a part of our Wallingford, CT world-class operations team. Our  Interns quickly adapt strategies, plans, and solutions to affect dynamic business requirements. They are comfortable interfacing and driving various functional activities with minimal oversight. Open minds, customer focus, innovation empowerment, advanced technologies, and teamwork drive our Field Operations Engineering team to deliver the region's most advanced Building Controls solutions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage projects following project processes and where applicable under direction from Sr. Project Manager

  • Complete projects per the contractual requirements within budget, on-time and with a high level of customer satisfaction

  • Responsible for the overall financial performance of assigned projects including project planning, billing, revenue forecasting, A/R collections and re-estimating costs of installation projects.

  • Manage the delivery of the contracted scope and secure change orders for the expansion of scope

  • Coordinate project materials and the use of shared resources; identify resource constraints, and assist with corrective action plans to remedy any issues

  • Manage relationships with sub-contractors, identify issues, and take corrective action plans to remedy any issues

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Facilities Engineering, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Controls, and Construction Management

  • 3.0 or higher GPA

  • Possess and maintain valid and current Driver’s License and be insurable by our company’s insurance carrier

  • Open to traveling with a Senior/Lead Technician over 50% of the work week for local assignments, including occasional overnight stays.

  • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment in excess of 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs

  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, Access and other Windows products

  • Prior experience in Construction, HVAC and/or Building Automation

  • Ability to lead and motivate teams

  • Strong problem solving, planning and project management skills

  • Ability to read and understand scope of work

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices

  • Demonstrated knowledge of project financial reporting

Pay Range:

$41,000 - $96,450 Annually
