Key Account Manager (Industry)

Role Purpose

Drive strategic growth and profitability within the Industrial segment by managing key accounts and building long-term partnerships. This role represents Carrier’s interests, develops tailored solutions for complex customer needs, and ensures alignment with business objectives through proactive account planning and relationship management.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and execute account strategies for assigned industrial customers, ensuring alignment with regional and global priorities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers to secure long-term agreements and recurring revenue.
• Identify and qualify new business opportunities within existing accounts and targeted prospects; lead bid preparation and negotiations.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Service, Engineering, Finance) to deliver customized solutions and ensure operational excellence.
• Monitor account performance, forecast accurately, and maintain CRM discipline for pipeline and opportunity management.
• Represent Carrier at trade shows, industry events, and customer workshops to promote solutions and strengthen brand visibility.
• Provide insights on market trends and customer needs to influence product development and strategic initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: University degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in account management or business development within HVAC or industrial sectors; 3 years with advanced degree.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of HVAC systems and service offerings; proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and negotiation techniques.
• Competencies: Strategic thinking, relationship building, communication and presentation skills, financial acumen, and ability to manage complex projects.
• Languages: Spanish and Fluent English; willingness to travel as required.
