About the role
As an Tooling supervisor you will play a critical role in supporting tube welding operations by ensuring all tooling, equipment, and supplies are available, maintained, and optimized. Your work directly impacts production efficiency, product quality, and on time delivery for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing all Aluminum Tool Area functions in support of tube welding operations.
• Developing systems and continuously improving procedures to ensure timely, high precision support.
• Planning, forecasting, ordering, maintaining, restocking, and accounting for all embossing, forming, sizing, and weld tooling.
• Purchasing and replenishing bearings, consumables, hand tools, work coils, holders, seals, and other stocked items.
• Providing updates to the management team through status reports, meetings, and inventory databases.
• Interfacing with suppliers for purchase orders, price negotiation, service improvement, and logistics coordination.
• Establishing and maintaining 5S standards in the Aluminum Tool Area.
• Assisting in troubleshooting production equipment and processes related to tooling and equipment supplied by the Aluminum Tool Area.
• Developing and using effective communication, teamwork, and presentation skills.
Requirements

As a minimum, you must have:
• Technical degree in a related field
• Experience in tooling, manufacturing support, or a related technical field.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Ability to manage inventory, purchasing, and supplier relationships.
• willingness to learn—SPC Quality Systems and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Using strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and ERP software.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
• Experience with tube welding or metal forming operations.
• Previous work with 5S or lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Experience troubleshooting production machinery or tooling.
