About the Role

As a Sr. Supervisor – Supplier Quality & Development, you will lead the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of supplier quality across components used in HVAC systems. This role combines technical leadership, team management, and supplier development to ensure supplier processes are capable, materials meet specifications, and risks are proactively mitigated across both New Product Introduction (NPI) and serial production.

You will directly influence product performance, reliability, and compliance while developing a high-performing Supplier Quality team and strengthening supplier partnerships to achieve long-term quality excellence. This role is critical in ensuring that supplier-provided components consistently meet the performance, reliability, and regulatory standards required for HVAC systems, enabling product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sr. Supervisor – Supplier Quality & Development, you'll be responsible for:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and incoming quality personnel, driving accountability and continuous improvement.

• Define and deploy supplier quality strategies, including supplier qualification, certification, performance monitoring, and risk-based development plans.

• Lead supplier quality activities for NPI programs, ensuring supplier readiness through audits, process validation, capability studies, and successful product launches.

• Govern supplier process validation, PPAP/UPPAP approvals, change management, and compliance with engineering and product requirements.

• Drive supplier development initiatives and structured problem-solving methodologies to improve supplier performance, process capability, and quality maturity.

• Lead escalation and resolution of critical supplier quality issues, ensuring rapid containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.

• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to support supplier selection, risk mitigation, and overall business objectives.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are results-driven, collaborative, analytical, and passionate about continuous improvement. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

• 5–7+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Quality.

• Demonstrated experience leading teams or supervising technical personnel.

• Strong knowledge of quality systems, supplier quality processes, and quality core tools.

• Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

• Experience in HVAC manufacturing, appliances, or thermal/mechanical systems.

• Expertise in PPAP/UPPAP, PSW approval, supplier qualification, incoming inspection systems, and advanced sampling strategies.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, brazing, welding, and refrigeration systems.

• Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification and experience leading supplier development and transformation initiatives.

• Strong data analytics, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
