About the Role
The Supplier Development ProgramManager (Tiger Project) is responsible for leading a dedicated team of experts in identifying and implementing strategies to optimize supplier performance. These strategies aim to achieve predefined performance objectives, including enhanced supplier quality, timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and improved relationships. The role requires exceptional leadership abilities and a thorough understanding of supply chain management
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Performance: Measure supplier quality performance through metrics such as defect rate, corrective action response time, and on-time delivery performance. Set targets to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with organizational standards.
- Customer Satisfaction: Gauge customer satisfaction levels through surveys, feedback, and complaint resolution metrics. Aim for higher customer ratings, reduced complaints, and improved overall satisfaction scores.
- Cost Savings or Avoidance: Track cost savings achieved through negotiation of terms, contract optimization, and process improvements. Measure the impact of cost-saving initiatives on budget adherence and report on achieved savings periodically.
- Relationship Management: Assess the effectiveness of supplier relationships by conducting regular supplier performance reviews, monitoring communication frequency, and identifying opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and process optimization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Evaluate the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments, fostering effective communication and cooperation. Measure success by analyzing feedback from internal stakeholders and assessing project outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of seven years of experience in supplier management, procurement, or related roles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and work effectively with suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Proven track record of driving supplier performance improvements and achieving cost savings.
- Familiarity with industry standards, quality management systems, and supplier performance metrics.
