About the role
This role will be in charge of performing engineering test and qualification plan for product cost reduction projects, securing and keeping quality, safety and agency reports for RLCA (Residential & Light Commercial Products) products under UL and ETL, as well as actively participating in product design reviews, safety reviews, alongside other project team members and key stakeholders.. Lastly, this role will develop and test structures and/or materials and their related fabrication processes for use in engineering designs, and work with product management team to develop and introduce new soluctions as standard product.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Sr Eng, Mech Engrg, you’ll be responsible for:
Business
Implement changes and assure the products build in CMX & US factories meet with Engineering specifications
Provide professional and technical assistance as troubleshooting product support and guidance.
Provide engineering solutions for field quality issues reported, providing robust quality improvements with a competitive cost in a timely manner.
Provide support to factories regarding product engineering and design in residential manufacturing plants
Support product UL audits through plants and maintain accuracy agency files.
Keep and maintain the accuracy of engineering information, update and maintain master BOM, drawing and engineering specification.
Technical
Performed engineering test and qualification plan for product improvements
Secure and keep agency reports for CMX & US products under UL
Actively participate in product design reviews and other project team members or key stake holders.
Develop and maintain standard products that are world class, safe and cost competitive.
Participate in defining technical requirements as needed.
Analyzes, researches and develops engineering specifications for product design of product to include structures, mechanical, electrical and electronics, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs.
Drives improvements based on end user experience. Performs corrective actions for field issues and product testing
Develops and tests structures and/or materials and their related fabrication processes for use in engineering designs.
Management
Keep sustaining metrics within objectives.
Plan and execute projects assigned to keep them as planned.
Priorities time management.
Participate with Turnback, DIVEs and continuous improvement tools
Complete EH&S, ETHICs and Carrier way training on time
Project Scopes:
Managing Engineering projects with governance (PMI Methodology) L3, ECN+ and local.
Cost reduction project.
Develop and Execute Qualification Test plan
Create CAPEX
Effective communication with Operations and Supply Chain
Collaborate with suppliers to review designs and feasibility of projects.
Requirements

As a minimum you must have:
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering
5-8 years as a Product engineer
5-8 years working with product change implementation
Knowledge in design processes and tools
Technical knowledge in HVAC equipment and applications, Electricity, Electronics, Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Project management experience
Engineering change notice implementation (Windchill)
Fluent in English (90%)
