About the role

As a Sr. Advanced Manufacturing Engineer – Brazing / Welding, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) leading the development, implementation, and optimization of metal joining technologies across our global manufacturing operations.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring manufacturing continuity, process quality, and cost efficiency, by supporting daily plant operations while driving long-term improvements in brazing and welding processes, automation, and standardization across sites.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Sr. Advanced Manufacturing Engineer – Brazing / Welding, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Serving as the technical SME and owner for brazing and welding applications from design through production and continuous improvement

  • Leading process development, joint design improvements, and implementation of advanced joining technologies

  • Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) with a focus on design for automation and manufacturability

  • Driving automation and capital equipment projects, including business case development, planning, and execution

  • Supporting daily manufacturing operations to ensure continuity, troubleshooting technical issues, and driving corrective actions

Requirements

We are looking for people who are analytical, hands-on, technically strong, and capable of leading cross-functional initiatives in complex manufacturing environments. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, quality, or related technical roles

  • Strong expertise in brazing and welding processes (experience with industry standards such as ASME is highly valued)

  • Proven experience managing projects (planning, budgeting, implementation, supplier coordination)

  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams with strong problem-solving and communication skills

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing processes

  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, AI/ML, predictive maintenance)

  • Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Project
