About the role
As a Sr. Advanced Manufacturing Engineer – Brazing / Welding, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) leading the development, implementation, and optimization of metal joining technologies across our global manufacturing operations.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring manufacturing continuity, process quality, and cost efficiency, by supporting daily plant operations while driving long-term improvements in brazing and welding processes, automation, and standardization across sites.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Advanced Manufacturing Engineer – Brazing / Welding, you’ll be responsible for:
Serving as the technical SME and owner for brazing and welding applications from design through production and continuous improvement
Leading process development, joint design improvements, and implementation of advanced joining technologies
Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) with a focus on design for automation and manufacturability
Driving automation and capital equipment projects, including business case development, planning, and execution
Supporting daily manufacturing operations to ensure continuity, troubleshooting technical issues, and driving corrective actions
Requirements
We are looking for people who are analytical, hands-on, technically strong, and capable of leading cross-functional initiatives in complex manufacturing environments. If this is you, get in touch.
As a minimum you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
10+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, quality, or related technical roles
Strong expertise in brazing and welding processes (experience with industry standards such as ASME is highly valued)
Proven experience managing projects (planning, budgeting, implementation, supplier coordination)
Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams with strong problem-solving and communication skills
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing processes
Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, AI/ML, predictive maintenance)
Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Project
