About the role
As a Project Engineer within the NPI Operations team, you will play a key role in driving new product introductions from development through manufacturing. This position focuses on technical execution, manufacturing readiness, documentation control, and cross‑functional coordination to ensure smooth, efficient, and successful product launches that meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a Project Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the successful transfer of new products from New Product Development (NPD) to manufacturing.

  • Ensuring ERP and BOM readiness prior to production launch.

  • Driving product manufacturability during pilot and ramp‑up phases.

  • Executing NPI activities under the direction of the NPI Leader.

  • Supporting ECS, MCS, and Pilot validation builds.

  • Tracking product‑related deliverables, action items, and launch readiness milestones.

  • Participating in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews.

  • Providing on‑site engineering support during pilot and ramp‑up phases.

  • Processing and implementing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).

  • Coordinating change implementation with Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams.

  • Collaborating closely with NPD, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program Management.

  • Communicating technical risks and escalation points to the NPI Leader.

  • Supporting supplier technical discussions when required.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Mechanical Engineering (IMA), Mechanical Engineering (IME), or a related field.

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Basic HVAC technical knowledge.

  • Advanced English proficiency.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing Engineering Changes (ECNs).

  • Experience in project implementation.

  • Experience working with SAP.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using Windchill.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Basic knowledge of ASANA or Microsoft Project.

  • Experience supporting pilot and ramp‑up manufacturing phases.

  • Exposure to cross‑functional or global project teams.
