About the role
The Associate Engineer, Draft/Product Definition supports engineering projects by creating and updating models, drawings, and product structures in Creo and Windchill. The role focuses on building technical skills, following established standards, and contributing to cost-reduction activities for 2026 through accurate and consistent design work.
- Deliver accurate design updates (models, drawings, BOMs) that support project needs and follow established standards.
- Apply product knowledge, manufacturing understanding, and PLM processes to maintain quality and consistency in engineering changes.
- Provide reliable support to project engineers by clarifying inputs, identifying issues, and ensuring correct implementation of design updates.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Associate Engineer, Draft/Product Definition, you’ll be responsible for:
- Execute assigned Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Manufacturing Change Notices (MCNs), including updates to models, drawings, and BOMs, under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Review inputs for completeness, identify risks or missing information, and coordinate with project engineers to resolve gaps.
- Follow defined processes, use standard work and templates, and contribute to improvements in guidelines and daily workflows.
- Communicate with project engineers when information is missing, unclear, or needs clarification.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in deliverables.
Requirements
We are looking for people who are Associate Engineer, Draft/Product Definition. If this is you, get in touch.
As a minimum you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 6 months to 1+ years of experience in mechanical design, engineering, or manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of Creo Parametric for parts, assemblies, and basic drawings.
- Familiarity with Windchill or similar PLM systems for document handling and simple change activities.
- Understanding of fundamental manufacturing processes and mechanical design principles.
- Ability to follow defined processes, manage assigned tasks, and maintain accuracy in models and documentation.
- Experience with manufacturing methods, product configuration, and understanding how design changes impact production.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Advanced English (Mandatory).
It would be nice if you have:
- Knowledge of GD&T and sheet metal process fabrication is a plus.
