About the role
- As part of Carrier’s Digital transformation, the incumbent will be part ERP CoE. The position will be responsible to support SAP development practice at SAP ERP CoE
- The incumbent will focus on the development, documentation of custom developments as well as on integrations efforts
- This role will report to the Sr. Manager SAP Technology

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related business discipline(s)
- 5 – 8 years of experience within the information technology and/or increasing responsibilities within a related or relevant area of business.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven, hands-on experience with SAP ABAP developments in a working environment – demand prioritization, planning, and execution to deliver software solutions
- Spoken and written English is mandatory
- Willing to travel internationally
- Good understanding of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban and other agile techniques
- Experience in demand planning for large portfolio of technical projects
- Good understanding of IT Service Management; ITIL certification preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of SAP ABAP
- Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps in the context of SAP
- Demonstrated knowledge of developments related to on SAP BTP, SAP S/4 HANA
- Scrum Master certified preferred
- Demonstrated/safeguarding Ethics and integrity
- Customer facing skills, ideally gained a consultancy role
- Results oriented, always stretching to drive personal and team outcomes
- Demonstrated “agile-development” mindset with strong customer-focus & results-orientation.
- Strong desire to continue to grow skillset and work across the full technology stack.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and teams simultaneously
- Effective interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills
- Open and able to work in cultural diversity environment
- Strong analytical and business problem solving skills
- Must be able to influence people and get them to do what needs to be done, without having direct control over those individuals
- Must be persuasive, diplomatic and tenacious
Responsibilities
- Deliver and implement SAP software custom developments, including coding, configuration, integration, maintenance and debugging
- Produces technical documentation as part of new development efforts
- Control quality of deliverables as described in SAP Technical Guidelines and partner with delivery teams to ensure long term sustainability of SAP developments
- Provides level of effort estimates for proposed technical solutions and articulates the benefits and risks to a solution’s feasibility and functionality
- Follow SAP and ERP related technology trends, identify opportunities for Carrier and cooperate on updates of Carrier SAP Technical Guidelines.
- Works as part of a scrum team and engages in all scrum ceremonies (release planning, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, etc.
- Provide digital / technical advice and consultancy to clients in effective manner
- Perform any other activities requested by your supervisor that are in line with the incumbent`s competencies and experience
