About the role
Marioff Italy is a business of approximately $18M in annual sales with strong growth and profitability track record. We are looking for a new Site Engineer to strengthen Marioff’s Site Supervision team in Venezia-Marghera, Italy.
As Junior Site Engineer you are part of Marioff’s Site Supervision team and responsible together with your colleagues for the site managing activities related to our turnkey projects at the shipyard.
Work includes supervision of HI-FOG® fire protection system components and pipe network installation. You are responsible for installation quality and progress follow-up & reporting, work coordination, planning and scheduling, site documents preparation and on-site material management.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for running the on-site Marine field installations
- Responsible both the installation progress and quality and handles independently logistics of the installation materials on site
- Responsible for EHS related matters on site and reports on possible EHS matters forward to Marioff organization
- Responsible for Detail level work planning together with customer personnel and onboard personnel and installation personnel
- Responsible for Solving on-site specific installation matters
- Responsible for Material resource planning on site
Role Purpose:
- Job will be based by Fincantieri Marghera Shipyard, managing the installation of the Water mist fire Fighting System on board new Cruise Vessels
- Will work in a Site Team of other two person under the supervisioning of a Site Manager
- Mainly the work apply on the installation of Marioff's Hi-Fog System on board the world biggest cruise vessels, facing on a daily base different and multiple relationships within customers, inspectors, suppliers and third parties from everywhere in the world
Requirements
This job position is suitable for freshly graduated, with minor work experience.
To be successful in this role you have:
- Technical background (Technician / BSc. level education on mechanics/electrics)
- Ability to manage simultaneous work tasks in fast paced challenging environment
- Good attitude with pro-active approach to solve problems
- Good knowledge of Italian
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English (also Technical)
- Experience in working on mechanical and/or electrical installations
- Experience in supervising mechanical or electrical installations works
- Ability in working with international customers
- Availability to travel
We also value if you have:
- Work experience in marine technology or shipyard environment
- Experience in fire protection systems
