The Manager, Supply Planning (SIOP) is a strategic operational role responsible for leading and executing key elements of the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) framework. Working across short- to medium-term horizons, this role drives the development of functional supply and demand strategies, aligns manufacturing capacity with financial forecasts, and optimizes working capital.

As a subject matter expert in materials planning and demand fulfillment, you will leverage advanced analytics and collaborative reasoning to identify supply risks, streamline inventory strategies, and continuously improve supply chain planning systems.

Strategic SIOP & Capacity Planning

  • Strategy Execution: Lead the formulation and implementation of comprehensive supply planning strategies within the Commercial SIOP organization.
  • Scenario Modeling: Perform scenario planning and rough-cut capacity analysis (RCCA) to effectively support supply/demand shifts, New Product Introductions (NPI), and end-of-life product transitions.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and resolve long-range supply chain bottlenecks across labor, material, and equipment constraints.

Operations & Demand Alignment

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Finance leadership to establish consensus demand forecasts and accurate financial models.
  • Master Production Scheduling: Facilitate monthly production volume planning alongside plant operations, balancing customer orders, inventory targets, and defined capacity constraints.
  • Fulfillment Optimization: Coordinate plant capacity and fulfillment strategies to consistently meet customer delivery expectations while maximizing operational resources.

Inventory & Financial Stewardship

  • Inventory Governance: Oversee planning and performance reporting for finished goods, component inventories, and Excess & Obsolete (E&O) stock in alignment with Days On Hand (DOH) and working capital goals.
  • Variance & Gap Analysis: Monitor inventory performance against targets, identify financial/operational risks, and execute action plans to close gaps.

Process Optimization & Technology

  • Standardization: Spearhead the standardization and documentation of materials planning and SIOP processes to drive operational consistency.
  • System Capabilities: Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, data linkages, and analytics tools to enhance planning reliability, sustainability, and transparency.
  • Performance Management: Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous process improvement across the SIOP lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in supply planning, demand management, materials planning, or SIOP/S&OP functions.

Preferred Qualifications & Competencies

  • Advanced Analytics: Proven ability to analyze complex supply chain datasets, identify systemic linkages, and evaluate downstream operational and financial impacts.
  • Executive Presence & Influence: Strong presentation skills with a demonstrated track record of influencing cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Systems Expertise: Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and dedicated SIOP/planning software.
  • Problem Solving: Exceptional conceptual reasoning and structural problem-solving abilities within dynamic, multi-site environments.
