About This Role
Carrier WHQ Digital Finance has an opening in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team supporting the Digital Technology (DT) organization. This position acts as a business partner to DT and will require interaction with all levels of the organization, up to and including the executive leadership team.
This position is responsible for leading financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, and involves preparing action plans and recommendations for business and operational decisions. Additionally, the FP&A Manager provides technical subject matter expertise to senior leaders and ensures that financial practices are conducted accurately and in compliance with regulations, laws, and standards. This position operates in a rapidly changing environment and requires excellent time management and adaptability. The candidate should also demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, data acumen, with attention to accuracy and execution rigor.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as preparation of action plans and recommendations for business and operational decisions
Executes monthly and quarterly closing activities which can include but is not limited to booking journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and reviewing balance sheets and P&L statements for several Digital Technology cost centers
Provides technical subject matter expertise to senior leaders. This includes the company finance policies, U.S. GAAP knowledge, and KPI
Prepare and leads monthly and quarterly financial reviews with senior leaders up to SVP. Provide interpretation of complex financial reports and statistical analysis as well as the development of recommendations
Consolidate financial results for all DT organization including Digital Hubs
Leads processes to ensure that financial practices are conducted accurately and in compliance with regulations, laws, and standards
Leads large-scale, cross-functional projects. Directs support on key financial transactions and business decisions. This role is also the finance subject matter expert for all digital projects who also analyze project costing and execute charge-out
Manage an overall budget (including projects) for various cost centers, providing immediate feedback to head of digital on over/underspend, and proposing solutions to address areas of concerns
An entrepreneurial drive, with the ability to deconstruct and solve problems, to investigate drivers, and figure out why things happen
Understanding of digital in the industry and the issues and opportunities in areas such as technology, data, and business change
Support FP&A’s automation and system transformation by working with various teams
Special projects as needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics with a minimum of 5 years of FP&A experience, OR
Master’s degree with at least 3 years of FP&A experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Financial Management system experience (HFM, SAP, S4Hana, Anaplan, etc.)
Experience in setting up finance processes in a dynamic environment
Proven execution of large scale and complex global projects
Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and expertise in Microsoft PowerBI preferred
Demonstrated strong analytical, process mindset, problem-solving, and data acumen
Attention to accuracy and execution is a must
Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
Excellent time management and project management skills
Strong ability to work with both business and technology stakeholders across all levels of an organization
