About this role

In this role you will be responsible for leading multiple large teams headed by Data Science & Analytics managers. Partner with other areas of the business (e.g., Marketing, Logistics, Customer Service, etc.) to model the outcome of implementing potential business strategies.  If you are looking to shape the digital future of a global conglomerate, then we have a great opportunity for you as the Digital Analytics leader serving Carrier globally. We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate leader to help establish and drive digital analytics and AI practice and help guide the enterprise towards data and insight driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach & partner business leadership to plan new joint initiatives, evaluate proposals, and determine how they fit into business capability roadmaps and priorities
  • At a business unit level, own the functional operating and project/program budget, and perform accurate budgeting and forecasting across analytics projects
  • Partner other COEs / Vendors to deliver projects, initiatives, and digital service improvements for across
  • Help to ensure our business and functional management teams are aligned with Carrier’s IT overall Digital and Business Strategy
  • Track operational performance and work with other COEs and Shared Service Leaders to identify requirements for the enterprise data, insights, and intelligence management
  • Address customer issues/concerns in accurate and timely manner
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of confidential BU information

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years leading teams of data scientists, ML scientists, solution architects, developers
  • 5+ years of strategic and hands on experience in data, analytics, and implementation of IT solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience building advanced analytics solutions in the industry using techniques from machine learning, data science, statistics, optimization, large scale computing

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

  • MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Data Mining, or related business discipline(s).
  • Advanced statistical methodology, data mining, Bayesian networks, probabilistic models
  • SQL, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools required
  • Well-developed communication skills are required as internal and external presentations are frequent
  • Experience with statistical analytics tools such as R, Python, SAS, or STATA and common ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, Spark MLlib, Sklearn)
  • Relative and progressive experience of directly leading and developing teams or direct reports
  • Experience and knowledge of big data ecosystem including Hadoop, Spark, AWS
  • Strong program management skills for multicultural, global environments.
  • Demonstrated ability as a strategic technical partner, working collaboratively with data analytics, data science, product, engineering, and other cross-functional partners, to plan, prioritize, and achieve company goals
  • Demonstrated success in creating measurable business benefit from analytics while interacting with many stakeholders in a complex organization
  • Willing to travel domestic and internationally (up to 25%)
