Location: Montluel, France (hybrid – home office possible) Travel: 30–40% within France and across Europe Team: CSE Aftermarket Service Training

About the role

At Carrier, we are building the training foundations that support the next generation of Service Technicians across Europe. We are looking for a Learning Experience & Content Designer to join our CSE Service Training team and help shape how technical expertise is transformed into clear, engaging and reusable learning experiences.

You will design practical training packs, Train-the-Trainer kits, assessments, job aids and field-ready materials used by trainers, Service Academies and technicians across multiple countries. Your work will directly support technician capability, product readiness and consistent learning experiences across Europe.

This role sits at the intersection of technical learning, field service, digital tools and European collaboration, offering strong exposure to Service Academies, product experts and international stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Design and produce technical training packs, Train-the-Trainer kits, assessments and job aids ready for deployment across countries.

  • Translate complex technical content into clear, engaging and practical learning experiences for Service Technicians.

  • Structure learning journeys aligned with technician capability levels, certification pathways and product priorities.

  • Partner with senior technicians, trainers, product experts, Engineering, EHS and Service Operations to capture and convert expertise into reusable learning assets.

  • Work closely with Service Academy Leaders to ensure content is practical, field-usable and consistent.

  • Apply modern authoring tools and AI-enabled workflows to accelerate content design while maintaining quality.

  • Maintain strong content standards, structure, version control and consistency across the CSE learning ecosystem.

What you bring

  • Experience designing technical training or enablement materials for industrial, HVAC, engineering, field service or similar technical environments.

  • Strong ability to turn complex technical content into clear, structured and usable learning materials.

  • Good understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning in operational contexts.

  • Familiarity with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Genially or similar.

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools for content creation, structuring or localisation.

  • Strong written communication skills in English; French is strongly preferred. Additional European languages are a plus.

  • Desirable: experience with certification pathways, Train-the-Trainer materials, Workday Learning or Skills Matrix frameworks.

What we look for as a person

  • Practical and field-oriented – you design learning that works in real technician environments.

  • Structured and detail-focused – you bring clarity, consistency and quality to complex topics.

  • Collaborative and credible – you build strong relationships with technical experts, trainers and country teams.

  • Curious and analytical – you ask the right questions to understand how work is really done in the field.

  • Improvement-minded – you look for ways to simplify, reuse and scale.

  • Confident but humble – you challenge respectfully and value expertise from others.

  • Comfortable in an international, multi-stakeholder environment.

What we offer

  • A meaningful role at the heart of a European technical training transformation

  • Strong exposure to Service Academies, product experts, digital tools and international collaboration

  • Opportunity to grow into senior learning design, Train-the-Trainer programme management, digital learning, content governance, AI-enabled learning production, or broader Service Academy and Learning Operations roles

  • A hybrid working model based in Montluel, France, with regular travel across Europe

  • The chance to join a Carrier team focused on capability, quality and impact.

Ready to apply?

If you enjoy designing practical, high-quality learning experiences and want to see your work make a real difference for Service Technicians across Europe, we would love to hear from you.

If your background is not a perfect match but you have strong learning design capability and technical curiosity, we'd love to hear from you!
