About the role

As EMEA Data Center Technical Manager, you’ll be responsible to establish, maintain and strengthen a long-term relationship with EMEA market key accounts and to work to position Carrier as a world leader in climate and energy solutions and services and present the best Carrier capabilities to create value and become the trusted partner to our strategic customers and to become the client’s first choice.

Job Description:

  • Review RFQs and identify customer requirements/specifications;
  • Provide sales and pre-sales support with technical support of product specifications and applications;
  • Standard & fine-tuned products selection based on customer requirements;
  • Coordinates with factory engineering departments for specific technical requests;
  • Special applications - Engineering-to-Order (ETO) – design of complete HVAC Installation considering our complete portfolio (Cooling/Airside/Controls/DCIM) in the aim to propose to the customers the most efficient installation
  • Define feasibility and costs of solutions/products
  • Integration, coordination and support the internal pre-sales and/or external suppliers
  • Prepare relevant technical documents
  • Internal support for project management team and sales
  • Presentation/explanation of solution to sales organization (Project Management Teams)
  • Interact with Engineering and Manufacturing once customer order is received
  • Manage the relationship between Sales teams and the Line of Business;
  • Create product and application presentations for customers and consultants;
  • Work with Product Management and Sales teams to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products;
  • Support  & Assist Customers’ FAT
  • Participate in technical events / round tables to promote our portfolio.

Requirements

What will make you successful?

  • A Degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or similar related field.
  • Previous working experience in HVAC field, especially for Datacenter or equivalent.
  • Solid experience matured in adjacent markets and in similar positions.
  • Language skills: fluent English
  • Excellent IT skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Customer/Sales orientation.
