Your role

As Director, Employee & Labor Relations, you oversee the development and implementation of new labor and employee relations programs, provide oversight to the development and implementation of documents in support of labor and employee relations matters and you represent the organization on grievance procedures, and strategizes long-term projects to focus on labor and employee relations initiatives.

Your key responsabilities :

  • Align labor and employee relations strategies with global and EMEA business priorities and goals.
  • Advise senior and local management and HR on labor law, union contract interpretation and administration, and collective bargaining and social dialogue obligations
  • Provide leadership and support in M&A due diligence, social dialogue strategy, HR integration, and addressing labor and employee relations issues.
  • Act as an internal expert on employment practices, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and coordinate restructuring projects across EMEA to minimize labor and employee relations risks and ensure compliance with all legal obligations.
  • Lead collective bargaining strategy development and strike contingency planning to align with global business and labor strategies.
  • Develop and conduct HR and management training programs, including collective bargaining strategy, employee management, and effective internal investigations.
  • Collaborate with HR COEs, Global People Services, and HR Business Partners to ensure seamless HR/ELR support and best practices.

Travel in France and occasionally in Europe is expected 30% of the time in the first year. 

Your profile:

We are looking for a dynamic and versatile candidate with a strong ability to quickly learn and effectively apply knowledge gained in various contexts. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize data from multiple sources, presenting it clearly and understandably in both graphic and verbal formats.

The candidate should also be capable of influencing and collaborating effectively across all levels of the organization, while demonstrating discretion and good business judgment when handling sensitive and confidential information. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously are essential.

Finally, a strong customer service orientation and excellent written and verbal communication skills are key to success in this role.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in labor law, labor and industrial relations, human resources management, or an applicable field, with solid hands-on experience in EMEA labor and employee relations, particularly in France. 

  • 6-10+ years of EMEA-focused employee and labor relations leadership, with demonstrated experience providing guidance and hands-on support to senior leaders and colleagues
  • Extensive knowledge of EMEA and France employment and labor law and ability to apply legal concepts to real world situations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
