The Sr Manager, HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a crucial role in supporting both manufacturing and warehouse operations, serving as a strategic partner to plant leadership and employees. This role is responsible for driving HR initiatives, ensuring compliance, fostering a positive work culture, and enhancing employee engagement for both hourly and salaried employees. The HRBP will provide expertise in employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, performance management, and labor relations, ensuring alignment with business goals and company policies.

This position will be based in Lewisburg, TN, and will also include HR responsibilities and travel to Franklin, KY

Key Responsibilities:

Employee & Labor Relations

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to plant leadership and employees on all HR-related matters.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture by addressing concerns proactively and ensuring open communication.
  • Partner with plant leadership to resolve employee relations issues, conducting investigations and recommending solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws, as well as company policies.
  • Act as a liaison with union representatives (if applicable), supporting contract administration and grievance resolution.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify workforce needs and develop staffing plans for both hourly and salaried roles.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit, select, and onboard new hires effectively.
  • Support retention strategies by analyzing turnover trends and implementing action plans.

Performance Management & Employee Development

  • Guide managers in performance management, including goal setting, coaching, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Support the annual performance review process and succession planning initiatives.
  • Identify training and development opportunities to upskill the workforce and enhance leadership capabilities.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to improve morale, productivity, and job satisfaction.

Compensation & Benefits Support

  • Ensure fair and equitable compensation practices, conducting market research as needed.
  • Provide guidance on wage increases, promotions, and merit-based pay adjustments.
  • Support employees in understanding and utilizing benefits programs.

Safety, Compliance & HR Operations

  • Partner with EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) teams to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Lead HR audits to ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, reports, and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.

Culture & Change Management

  • Lead engagement and recognition programs to boost workplace morale.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace.
  • Support organizational change initiatives, including restructuring, new processes, and workforce transitions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of HR experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing hourly and salaried workforce
  • 2+ years of knowledge in employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.)
  • 2+ years experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
  • Ability to build trusting relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Strong communication, coaching, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong background in employee relations, labor law compliance, and performance management
