About the role

The Database Engineer has full responsibility about the complete spare part identification database of the company. It means the system needs to be maintained by regular update process, needs to be maintained based on users feedback and the system needs to be improved to make sure the people can use it for the future as a responsible tool for the part identification.

2D drawing reading capabilities and basic 3D exploded model creation knowledge is a must in this position. In this role close cooperation will be needed with R&D department of the factories and participate in parts identification database improvement projects.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are self-motivated, proactive and detail oriented, while having the ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once by focusing on one task while keeping track of others. If this is you, get in touch.

Requirements

As a minimum you must have:

  • Mechanical Engineer Degree/Proven technical knowledge regarding 2D drawings and 3D exploded model view creation
  • Ability to work in international team->Enhanced knowledge of English language
  • Open personality and ready to learn
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Good coordination skills

Although not necessary, it would be an advantage:

  • Experience with Solid Edge
  • Experience in SAP environment
  • ECN reading/writing experience
  • Hungarian/Czech language skills

Responsibilities

As a Database Engineer  you’ll be responsible for:

  • Improve parts catalogue content (Modify 2D drawings and 3D exploded model views, regular review of customer requests and implement them to the database.)
  • Support improvement projects
  • Reading 2D drawings (In some cases to create or modify them)
  • Handling and create 3D models and explode the parts
  • Cooperate with R&D departments in case of missing 3D models, drawings
  • Document upload to SAP and into the parts identification database
  • Factories ECN process monitor->Based on that spare part drawing and spare part list update
  • Manage import routine to the catalogue
  • User and app management (user support, define and assign user groups to users)
  • Contact with tool developer to fix smaller issues
