Summary:

This role involves leading a team of seasoned system engineering professionals across the product development lifecycle. The role focuses on team leadership, project execution, systems engineering governance, process improvement, cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful product delivery. providing mentorship and career growth opportunities for team members, and liaising with stakeholders. This position requires effective management skills and a strong understanding of System Engineering Principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Systems Engineers.

  • Plan and allocate engineering resources across multiple projects.

  • Drive systems engineering activities from requirements development through verification support.

  • Ensure high-quality requirements development, review, and end-to-end traceability.

  • Collaborate with software, hardware, mechanical, test, quality, product management, and program management teams.

  • Monitor project schedules, priorities, risks, and team deliverables.

  • Establish and continuously improve systems engineering processes and best practices.

  • Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development of team members.

  • Conduct technical and project reviews to ensure quality and timely delivery.

  • Provide technical leadership to systems engineering team as needed.

  • Report project status, risks, resource needs, and engineering metrics to leadership.

  • Coordinate with global cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives across Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and business units.

  • Mentor the team in system-level product development for HVAC products.

  • Be willing to travel between locations for business needs

As a Minimum You Must Have:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Systems Engineering principles, Requirements Engineering experience, System Integration

  • Good understanding of change and configuration management, Risk management and Product development lifecycle

  • Prior experience or familiarity with Embedded systems development

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

  • Comfortable scrum practices and tools

  • Excellent management skills, passionate to drive people development.

  • Strong Stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Good understanding of Product security, hardware design, V&V, IoT, cloud, edge computing and Analytics

  • Experience with Six Sigma or equivalent process, and tools

  • Experience in executing passport /stage gate-based development process.

  • Experience with HVAC Industry is added advantage

  • Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams.

  • Strong Problem solving, Decision making and collaboration skills

Typical Educational Requirements: 

  • BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Electronics, Computer, Electrical, Systems, or Controls Engineering

Key Qualification: 

  • 14+ years of experience with at least 6+ years in Systems Engineering within product development organizations.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience leading Systems Engineering teams.

  • Proven experience in requirements engineering, system integration, verification, and product development lifecycle activities.

  • Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

  • Experience working with globally distributed teams is preferred.
