About the role

Carrier is looking for an experienced data management professional to join our team as Business Enterprise Data Domain Expert Level 2 Commercial. The Data Domain Expert Level 2 Commercial will be part of the Carrier Business Services (CBS) Global Master Data Management (MDM) team and will support the master data improvement strategy and roadmap for the Commercial function. The role will support the implementation of structural improvements, delivering the highest Master Data quality level aiming at running efficient end-to-end business processes and allowing for decision making based on trusted data.
The role supports the Data Principal Commercial on the data aspect of the Commercial function in close collaboration with the people, process, and technology partners. He/She designs and implements standardized end to end processes and tools for the maintenance of Commercial Master Data, delivering improved service quality, optimized cost to serve, controls & compliance, as well as enhancing customer experience. It also supports some Commercial function projects from a data perspective.
He/She operates in a highly complex systems landscape and within a matrix organization. System complexity includes at least 100+ ERP instances, several other enterprise-level systems, supported by multiple service providers. He/She manages stakeholders’ relationships with business process managers across the Commercial function to implement the strategy and roadmap for high quality Master Data.

Key Responsibilities:

Being part of an enthusiastic and dynamic team, your responsibilities include :

  • Being part of a 5 to 10 FTEs Data Mass Change Factory team, consisting of Data Mass Change Specialists
  • Supporting all activities falling under the MDM Operations team scope for data mass maintenance, i.e., service performance (SLAs), End-to-End Master Data process timelines, controls, continuous improvements, cost-to-serve, service introduction, point of contact for MDM CoE, IT, audit, internal controls and business
  • Implementing the global data mass change scripts (using WinShuttle, FIORI, LSMW, LTMC), including determining the business requirements, data rules, script development, testing and introduction into live services
  • Executing Master Data mass changes following the data quality, controls and compliance rules and regulations
  • Supporting data mass maintenance processes performance monitoring, including supporting their KPIs development
  • Supporting the Implementation of proper (preventive/detective) controls for the Data mass maintenance
  • Utilizing metrics to identify opportunities for service improvement
  • Supporting execution of tactical initiatives related to technological advances, enhancements and system upgrades
  • Supporting data cleansing and rationalization efforts
  • Creating/extending data to support projects, acquisitions and divestitures
  • Supporting the Mass Change Factory lead with issues fixing related to data mass maintenance, including escalation management and root cause analysis. This includes interacting with the MDM CoE who will act as second line support, as well as with IT and Internal Controls
  • Supporting the Creation, review and delivery of end-user documentation (user guide, process flow charts, training materials) and training
  • Assisting the MDM Operations leadership, to implement the MDM operations improvement roadmap

Requirements:

  • Graduation in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, IT or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ overall experience with 2-3 years’ experience in Data Management related function
  • Working experience supporting MDM operational processes preferred
  • Hands on technical expertise in:
    • data profiling, mapping, migration and mass maintenance required
    • developing scripts using applications like WinShuttle, FIORI, LSMW and/or LTMC required
    • ERP and Data Management systems (preferably SAP and SAP MDG) required
    • complex IT system environments as key user
  • Experience in complex business environments with multiple stakeholders, including multiple service providers
  • Continuous Improvement certification preferred
  • Leverages business understanding and its requirements to support Mass Data maintenance operations
  • Keeps deadlines and produces high quality output
  • Fosters a constructive dialogue with support functions and key stakeholders
  • Customer service mind-set with excellent customer service skills
