Responsibilities:

  • Support the category leads with sourcing activities, e.g.
    • Advanced spend analytics
    • Work with category managers and engineering to create RFP packages, managing process and conducting RFQs with suppliers
    • Manage price changes with suppliers based on defined indices, define indices where not available
    • Coordinate internally with supply chain, legal etc for getting contracts done for suppliers
    • Support category managers with preparation to drive high quality and fact-based negotiations
    • Conduct should-costs for the spend categories
  • Experience in Cost comparative, understanding of delivery and payment terms
  • Deploy category strategy across the business units and sites
  • New product introduction (NPI) sourcing support
  • Lead or co-ordinate project execution for productivity projects (localization, transfers, resource) working cross functionally and with global stakeholders
  • Drive supply market research (e.g., market structure, behavior, barriers to entry) and track and update key market indices
  • Assess suppliers within spend categories, including risk level (e.g. operational, financial risk)
  • Assess demand and spend across Carrier Business Units and geographies
  • Support and work with Initiative Owners to manage the stage gate process to ensure initiative execution, ensure tracking and reporting of value capture

Skills

  • High analytical thinking- ability to work with large spend database to drive insights for cost optimization
  • Hands on Experience on ARIBA, shall be an added advantage
  • Ability to independently manage own projects
  • Effective collaboration - Works collaboratively with others to meet shared goals
  • Interpersonal skills - Able to work in a global environment and with stakeholders located in different regions of the world
  • Accountability and adaptability
  • Deliver high performance in fast paced environment
  • Strategic thinking- ability to think through and independently define priorities

Additional comments

  • 4-7 years’ experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Engineering graduate
  • Experience of working in a global environment (company)
  • Project management experience
