About the role

This role will lead sustaining engineering activities for HVAC control systems, inverters, and compressor drives

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead sustaining engineering activities for HVAC control systems, inverters, and compressor drives.

  • Conduct field failure analysis, root cause investigation.

  • Manage ECR/ECN, component obsolescence, and alternate part qualification.

  • Support manufacturing and resolve technical issues during production and field operations.

  • Drive reliability improvement, compliance adherence, and cost optimization initiatives.

EDUCATION PREFERRED:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Overall: 5–12 Years ( Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in HVAC Control Systems.)

Required Skills:

  • HVAC Control Systems Sustaining

  • Inverter / Compressor Drive Troubleshooting

  • Field Failure Analysis (RAC / LC Units)

  • EMI/EMC & Safety Compliance (HVAC)

  • ECR/ECN & Component Obsolescence Management

Domain Area:

  • HVAC Control Systems.

Essential Competencies/ Primary Skill Set:

  • Strong expertise in power electronics (SMPS, inverters, motor drives) and HVAC control systems.

  • Proven experience in field failure analysis, root cause investigation, and CAPA implementation.

  • Hands-on knowledge of EMI/EMC, safety compliance, and product validation processes.

  • Experience in ECR/ECN management, component qualification, and obsolescence handling.

  • Strong ownership mindset with cross-functional coordination and problem-solving capability.

Desirable Competencies/ Secondary Skill Set:

  • Exposure to global project coordination and supplier development.

  • Experience in value engineering, cost reduction, and component standardization initiatives.

  • Working knowledge of embedded systems, firmware coordination, and controller integration.

  • Familiarity with reliability tools such as FMEA, 8D, and structured problem-solving methodologies.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

OTHER COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong analytical thinking with a structured, data-driven decision-making approach.

  • High ownership mindset with accountability for end-to-end deliverables.

  • Effective cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Service teams.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects under tight timelines.

  • Proactive attitude with continuous learning and improvement orientation.

  • Open to relocation anywhere in India.
