Role Responsibilities:

• Engage with business unit product engineering, management, and supply chain teams to identify data sources for full Life Cycle Assessments.
• Analyze the energy and carbon footprint of Carrier’s HVAC&R systems to guide decisions in next year’s Long-Range Planning (LRP) in alignment with our Science Based Target Initiative to Net Zero carbon emissions.
• Provide data visualizations and written reports to communicate analyses to various stakeholders.
• Create sustainable case studies around materials circularity, Net Zero, refrigerant reclamation and/or emissions reduction metrics.
• Attend company functions, lunch and learns, and networking events.
  

Role Purpose:

• Our Sustainability Strategy & Execution engineering team is accelerating Carrier’s sustainability initiatives to reach Net Zero through investments in advanced research, technologies and design for sustainability methods that will shape the future of our products and services.
• As an intern, you will help drive the team to identify the carbon footprint of our products, develop technology roadmaps to reduce our product emissions and strengthen development processes to align with our sustainability vision.
• This role will be full-time during the summer of 2025.
  

Basic Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering
• Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant coursework or previous internships/co-ops are preferred
• Knowledge of HVAC/refrigeration products
• Sustainability mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to solve challenging and complex problems
• Knowledgeable in LCA/environmental audit tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-driven and proactive

Pay Range:

$41,000 - $96,450 Annually
