Job Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Manger, Quality, the Quality Technician III will provide technical support to Production Operations, Quality, and Manufacturing & Test Engineers.

General responsibilities of this role are:

Test / Operations

  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic products involving a wide range of components.
  • Work from schedules, specifications, test procedures, manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, sketches, Engineering Change Orders, computer programs and manufacturing instructions/procedures.
  • Conduct Preventive Maintenance of test equipment and fixtures.
  • Analyze Engineering documents. Suggest modifications to the manufacturing and / or test engineers as it pertains to test / failures or troubleshooting improvements.
  • Track and coordinate EOs to completion.
  • Conduct Preventive Maintenance of production fixtures.
  • Update and control Manufacturing Engineering procedures and documentation (MFGDOC).

Quality Assurance

  • Audit manufacturing processes to conform to Manufacturing and Design Engineering specifications.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education:

  • Associate Degree in Electronics preferred.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • 5- 7 years’ experience in manufacturing environment; preferably in support of test, PCB fault analysis / diagnosis experience and electronic assembly repairs;
  • Strong knowledge of electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, DVM, oscillators, data pulse, frequency, and signal generators;
  • Strong electronic test experience

Physical Limitations:

Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and;

  • You will periodically be required to perform repetitive movements;
  • You will be required to occasionally use mechanical controls including buttons, knobs, levers, cranks, and pedals in performance of a function;
  • Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials;
  • You will occasionally need to reach overhead with hands and arms; rotate body from sitting and standing position and lift and carry weight up to 30 lbs.;
  • Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct normal amount of work on a computer; and
  • The employee is regularly required to walk and move around; use of hands to feel, touch, grasp or grip tools, objects, or handles.
