Equipment Operator – Rentals

Carrier is a leading provider of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, building controls and automation, and fire and security systems leading to safer, smarter, sustainable and high-performance buildings.

THE POSITION:

As an Equipment Operator you will be responsible for adhering to all environmental, health and safety procedures set by the customer for observation and preventative maintenance of machinery in their air cooled chilled water & glycol plants.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow and maintain the environmental health and safety (EH&S) site plan
• Monitor components of assigned air cooled chilled water & glycol plant systems and equipment to include:

Air cooled chillers

Fluid circulating pumps

Air compressors

Electrical distribution equipment

• Assist with receiving parts and supplies.
• Complete periodic inspections and record visual findings
• Report and escalate abnormal system conditions
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. AAS degree, technical/business school certificate or diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post high school training (two years) is preferred.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work shifts in  6 – 12 hour durations, rotating days to nights
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred
