About this role
This position is for a seasoned professional contributor in Industrial Engineering, who may manage medium to small projects or processes to ensure overall project development coordination for the most efficient utilization of warehouse space and optimal material through put to point of use. Communicates with parties within and outside Material Flow department regarding cost control initiatives and process and systems improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts research to evaluate potential solutions related to changes in equipment design, procedures, manpower, personnel, or training to ensure the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow.
- Establishes and implements quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems related to material flow.
- May provide input or guidance to lower level professional and technical staff,.
- Reviews and provides analytical input to documents, such as proposals or other operational procedures, to support studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
- Develops and maintains the layout of warehousing, kitting areas, dock spaces, and POU locations to optimize material through put.
- Minimum Requirements
- Requires advanced knowledge obtained through a university degree, combined with experience
- Practical to substantial knowledge of warehousing, internal logistics, and inventory with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree
- 5+ years warehousing and inventory experience/internal material flow within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- 2+ years experience with SAP
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional level experience in SAP
- Understanding of standard warehousing principles
- Experience or understanding of material kitting operations
- Experience with internal logistics analysis and optimization
- Understanding of standard inventory practices
