About this role
We are looking for a motivated Industrial Engineering intern to support our team. You will assist the Manufacturing Engineering Department with projects that improve capacity, capability, safety, or reduce costs. You will support the design, development, and implementation of control systems to optimize our manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless integration of packaging solutions.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for packaging and manufacturing processes.
- Monitor and evaluate packaging performance through testing and analysis, making necessary adjustments to meet performance standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to packaging and manufacturing.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff on packaging equipment and processes.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance packaging and manufacturing efficiency and sustainability.
- Maintain layout (in AutoCAD)
- Analyze current process to identify and mitigate ergonomic risk
- Design flexible workstations to efficiently respond to fluctuating seasonal demand
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or Electrical Engineering.
- Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven and proactive.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects.
- Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred
