About this Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing and Proposal Manager. This role offers a dynamic and engaging environment where you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's success and position in the market. The candidate will work with internal and external stakeholders to oversee the execution and successful delivery of requests for qualifications/proposals (RFQ/RFP) for sustainability services pursuits, provide strategic guidance with any subsequent interview efforts, and improve our team’s position in the market.

This role reports to the Group Director and will be responsible for managing multiple direct reports.

The Marketing and Proposal Manager will be responsible for executing NORESCO’s marketing plan and strategizing the content necessary to tell the NORESCO story with authenticity and integrity. Creative and technical writing skills are essential as the daily responsibilities are focused on developing award-winning proposals and executing NORESCO’s marketing and communications plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the ongoing proposal schedule and host weekly calls with the marketing and proposal team to ensure all RFPs/RFQs are assigned and delivered to the client on time.
  • Enforce NORESCO’s go/no-go process to allocate resources to the highest probability pursuits.
  • Lead simultaneous proposal responses from start to finish, with two to five proposals ongoing at any given time, each with varying deadlines and requirements.
  • Ensure all proposal-related information, including project descriptions, resumes, and proposal language, is accurate, well-written, sensibly organized, and easily accessible to the entire team.
  • Oversee NORESCO’s external communications plan in support of new business objectives and internal account executives.
  • Develop and oversee the creation of marketing/communications materials (including service flyers, brochures, presentations, e-blasts, advertisements, etc.) while ensuring compliance with corporate branding guidelines, standards, and the corporate-level External Communications Policy and approval process.
  • Manage company involvement in industry conferences, including the development and submission of applications for upcoming speaking engagements.
  • Create and deliver high-quality documents, including QA/QC of all qualifications/proposals, technical approaches, and interview documents and presentations prior to director-level review.
  • Guide internal communications.
  • Provide additional marketing-related duties and strategy as required and assigned.

Required Qualifications  

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing/proposal preparation role with a professional services firm
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
  • Exceptional written communications and editing skills
  • Experience leading a team and providing strategic direction
  • Understanding of, or interest in, the energy engineering/sustainability industry
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks with accuracy
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management systems like Salesforce is a plus
  • Ability to work with a variety of personalities within a flexible schedule to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines while working on multiple, diverse projects
  • Talented in translating highly-technical information into clear and concise written communications and for producing multi-page documents that are thoughtful, highly-organized, logical, and easy to understand
  • The position requires a person with an eye for design and layout
  • A positive, can-do attitude

Pay Range:

$112,828 - $157,959 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
