About this role

This is a unique opportunity to learn and grow your skills by creating and building new product offerings in temperature-controlled logistics.  The successful person in this role will have first-hand experience with rolling products out to market from concept to launch and be able to shape, design and influence the execution path. The job is very dynamic and requires a high-level of adaptability in a quickly changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focused on net new revenue-generating, data-driven, IoT products (zero-to-one)
  • Responsible for delivery of the product roadmap (prioritized initiatives) from definition to release
  • Scope features aligned to prioritized initiatives, define the release plan, and lead execution of product releases
  • Manage the product backlog, inclusive of new features, enhancements, tech enablement, and defects
  • Understand the vision and strategic intent of the solution, empathize with customer needs and pain points, iterate on concepts and possible solutions
  • Collaborate with development and design teams to create a solution, understand and suggest tradeoffs for priorities, attend/organize user testing, drive customer POCs
  • Drive definition of the user personas in collaboration with the design team
  • Execute on strategic objectives as prioritized by the Product Lead
  • Scope releases to continuously deliver greater value, identify success metrics and track follow-through
  • Ensure proper product documentation, including feature and user story definition
  • Work with design and development team to create concepts and wireframes. Iterate as required.
  • Own the timeline for execution and establish key milestones.  Report on the development progress, risks and issues.  Collaborate with product development manager to manage schedules.
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies and be able to lead as needed (sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, release or program increment planning)
  • Coordinate across multiple teams and different disciplines to ensure accurate and quality feature delivery; identify and track cross-team dependencies
  • Create and communicate release notes
  • Support product training for internal sales and service teams
  • Be curious and willing to learn a lot of new things fast

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience of software product manager, product owner/business analyst
  • 5+ years of experience within information technology
  • 2+ years of proven, hands-on experience in Agile methodologies in a working environment – demand prioritization, planning, and execution to deliver software solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile certification: Product Owner
  • Familiarity with SAFe  and Scrum methodologies
  • Experience working with  multinational, globally distributed development teams
  • Experience working on 0 to 1 products (New products)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Travel 10% on an as needed basis
  • Passionate about understanding customer problems and jobs to be done
  • Customer-centric, market-driven, and inquisitive by nature
  • Able to rapidly create strong relationships with external and internal partners
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate at all levels
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, be nimble and adaptable, and handle ambiguity
  • Lead by example, and not afraid to get hands dirty. Someone who can immerse in details when necessary, but maintain strategic perspective as well.
  • Solid foundation in quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals and stakeholders
  • The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.
