About the Role:
Responsible for meeting Application Engineering requirements covering Enquiry Quotation process, technical selections, compliance statements, technical submittals, Reply to comments, preparing quotations in CRM & SAP, preparing weekly quotation reports, updating tasks in AE Actions file, enquiry handling follow-up, tracking and updating the system regularly.
Key performance areas:
1. Responsible for meeting Application Engineering requirements covering the inquiry quotation process, technical selections, compliance statements, technical submittals, replying to comments, preparing quotations in CRM and SAP, preparing weekly quotation reports, updating tasks in the AE Actions file, inquiry handling follow-up, tracking, and updating the system regularly.
2. To be able to read the inquiry in detail, understand and check the project details and schedules, and prepare proper technical selections by offering suitable solutions and helping customers choose Carrier products for their projects.
3. Technical activities involve analyzing the technical requirements of the projects, rendering technical guidance to the sales engineers, and preparing technical selections meeting the schedules and project specifications, comparison tables using the latest product data catalogues, technical literature, bulletins, and software for customers on a daily basis.
4. Handling important key customers, providing them prompt technical support, selection software training, replying to DEWA/ADDC/SEWA/FEWA-related queries, and controlling item requirements and updating them regularly about the products.
5. To constantly be in touch with the sales team, discuss project requirements on assigned tasks, and update the CRM actions in the database.
6. To ensure smooth information flow between sales, applications, and consultant engineering teams on time.
7. To bring new ideas and develop new ways to handle tasks, ensuring Carrier products are approved by consultants, clients, and customers with ease.
8. Visit customer offices or sites for technical meetings along with the sales team to get the technical selections and submittals approved as and when required.
9. To develop and nurture healthy relationships with customers and ensure carrier products get immediate approval in the projects.
10. To select equipment for VRF and RLC using the latest updated selection tools and software and meeting closely the SE/customer budgets, proposing energy-efficient solutions meeting the local regulations as applicable.
11. Joining the sales team twice a month for the technical workshop and updating them on the completed and pending tasks. Giving the sales team an update on the latest Carrier products, software, and tools.
12. Provide technical comparisons and schedules for consultant engineers when assigned.
13. Attend all assigned HAP trainings, technical trainings, product trainings, and design trainings as per schedule and enhance knowledge.
14. Share resources and work on the data bank, quick selection sheets, and product comparisons for the team's benefit.
15. Update the sales team with any job-in-hand projects and ensure those actions are prioritized over the rest of the day-to-day actions.
16. Monthly reporting for # and the completed number of tasks before closing, ensuring the KPIs are met and exceeded.
17. Give immense importance to consultant comments and ensure they are responded to promptly and within the time frame.
18. Get to know in detail the local regulations, international standards used in the product design, and certifications like EUROVENT, AHRI, LEED, ESMA, ESTIDAMA, etc. for improving your knowledge and offering products accordingly after discussing the same with the sales team.
19. Report Turnbacks and Escapes regularly
Comply with the Code of Ethics with respect to your customers, employees, shareholders, and competitors, and carry out your duties and responsibilities as mentioned there.

Qualifications, Experience, and Academia:
Qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and/or related HVAC field.
LEED accreditation is an additional advantage.
Minimum 7 to 10 years’ experience and a full understanding of HVAC and VRF design concepts, a deep understanding of VRF and RLC equipment technologies, and expertise in time management.
Personal traits and behavior:
• Good experience working in the same field with proven track record in ME
• Good knowledge of HVAC basics, VRF and RLC products in particular
• In-depth understanding of consultant specifications and schedules for VRF RLC
• Heat load calculations match selections for VRF RLC products.
• Fluent in written and verbal communications skills
• Expertise in handling all above Application work
• Excellent computer skills in MS Office, MS Excel, Product software selection programs, handling AutoCAD files, creating spreadsheets, preparing quotations in SAP and VRF system design
• A team player with good communication and inter-personal skills
• Good planning abilities, result-oriented, and presentable with a good personality
