Carrier Fire & Security Products is seeking a Planner for its Kidde Fire Protection business in Bentham. Here at Kidde Fire Protection, we are the world’s largest manufacturer of Fire Suppression products. Our mission is to provide solutions that protect people and property from the effects of fire and its related hazards. For more than 90 years industry leaders, the Fire Trade have relied on Kidde Fire Protection to deliver outstanding fire suppression systems.
The Planner will use the manufacturing order book to deliver to customer expectations, whilst maximizing production efficiencies and minimizing WIP inventory.
You will also work alongside supply chain to ensure that materials and services are delivered on time, to the required quality standards and at agreed costs whilst maintaining minimum inventory levels.
This position reports directly to the Production and Logistics Manager, collaborating with the full spectrum of Kidde Fire Protection leaders, including product management, operations, finance, engineering, and marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
As a (specify role), you’ll be responsible for:
- Ensure swift and accurate planning of manufacturing orders in line with customer requirements, forecasts and safety stocks.
- Interface with Production to ensure the cell can deliver to Customer expectations.
- Liaise with Procurement to ensure effective implementation of company strategy.
- Raise, maintain and manage production orders.
- Support the S&OP process – for example attend Supply Reviews as required to balance minimum Working Capital with maximum Customer Service.
- Use the Carrier Way to drive improvements in Inventory, NITO and SOTD metrics.
- Exhibit the highest Ethics standards in line with Carrier expectations.
- Lead inventory reduction projects to minimize WIP.
- Advise Customer Services of changes to the plan that will impact on deliveries of finished product.
Requirements
As a minimum you must have:
- Solid knowledge of MS Applications (Excel, Word etc)
- Experience on planning management
- Excellent communication, numeracy and literacy skills
- Clean Full Driving License
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes within a factory environment
- Commercially aware
- Knowledge of Carrier Way
- Experience in Syteline ERP although Full Training will be provided
