Automated Logic designs, manufactures, installs and services hardware and software for Building Automation Systems (BAS). Job Description:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) position is responsible for providing factory account management and sales support to approximately 25 owned and independent dealers throughout Western North America. The primary objective of the position is to develop and grow the company’s product sales throughout the region.
Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will possess excellent sales presentation skills as well as a thorough technical understanding of building automation systems and controls contracting. This self-starter will work effectively with a wide range of administrative, sales, and account management responsibilities. Candidate will have a confirmed working history that demonstrates excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving aptitude. Outstanding leadership capabilities, a high degree of personal integrity, interpersonal skills and abilities are a must.
Requirements:
- Travel as required (60% – 70%) including international
- Develop and maintain field office pipeline forecast
- Identify and promote best practices across the region
- Provide/participate in field office sales and product training
- Provide counsel to field offices (specification interpretation, business/sales strategy, etc.)
- Provide account management (pricing strategy, conflict resolution, customer relations, etc.)
- Assume primary company and product demonstration role
- Provide voice of customer for new product development
- Provide competitive and market specific feedback
- Participate in industry meetings and exhibitions
- Participate in in-house factory initiatives as needed (i.e. ACE Pilot, CRM tool, etc.)
- Reside in region
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proactive problem solver and leader
- Excellent analytical, and computer technical skills
- Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others across functional teams
- Up-to-date on new technologies and applies new knowledge and techniques to the job
- Capable of working independently and comfortable making decisions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Flexibility with regard to job duties (those listed and others as assigned by supervisor)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver consistently
- Use and familiarity with the following software packages:
- MS Office – Excel (power user), PowerPoint (power user), Word, Salesforce.com, etc.
