About the role
Leads team of intermediate to experienced Procurement professionals, setting objectives and guiding others on RFPs, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, and/or program execution. Reviews prices, manufacturing processes, and contracts and makes recommendations for changes to ensure a successful procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and category oversight to include sourcing strategy execution, negotiations, contract implementation and performance against established targets
Manage supplier relationships, communicate changes to category strategy, execute joint collaborative initiatives, and monitor supplier contract negotiations
Develop Consulting preferred supplier program
Operational and spend analysis, development and execution of annual sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, supplier performance management & operational support.
Build and maintain relationships throughout every level of the organization, that results in dynamic interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to identify sourcing needs and leading to the development of optimal approaches and solutions
Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, performance management and development and improvement of end to end value, and bring innovation to the business
Identifies business demand requirements and partners with Business Units to deliver annual value improvements and drives competitive advantage
Responsible for overall relationship with multiple strategic accounts across a given category.
Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature
Ensures supplier or commodity is performing to the designed requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective through established governance programs
Identify, develop and direct the implementation of supply chain goals and category strategies, based on deep subject matter expertise and an understanding of industry/market dynamics
Escalate issues that may impact the supply chain organization and effectively manages issues
Strong project management capabilities to support effective initiative, program and spend tracking
Committed to supporting supplier diversity and other important supply chain initiative
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, with a proven track record of success in managing complex categories.
Strong understanding of HR and Marketing services, with experience in managing professional services providers a plus.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Proficient in analytical tools and methodologies for spend analysis and cost modeling.
Experience with contract management principles and best practices.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
