About this role
Manager, SIOP Business Intelligence at Carrier Corporation plays a crucial role in leveraging data to optimize the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process. This role involves collaborating with the Digital team to understand data availability in the AWS data lake and Snowflake data warehouse and using this data to develop informative dashboards in Power BI. The Manager - SIOP Analytics and Data Steward ensures data quality, accuracy, and accessibility, facilitating data-driven decision-making in the SIOP function.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Digital team to understand the data available in the AWS Datalake and Snowflake data warehouse.
- Ensure the necessary data is accessible and appropriately structured for SIOP analytics.
- Identify and rectify data quality issues, discrepancies, and gaps that may impact SIOP performance.
- Assessment of available data in the AWS data lake and Snowflake data warehouse, highlighting gaps and potential data sources.
- Documentation of data quality standards and data governance practices to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
- A streamlined and well-organized set of integrated data from various sources for SIOP analysis.
- Utilize PowerBI to create interactive and informative dashboards that provide real-time insights into the SIOP process.
- Interactive Power BI dashboards that provide a visual representation of SIOP KPIs, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
- Understand the SIOP workflow, key performance indicators, and data requirements to design dashboards that enable informed decision-making.
- Analyze SIOP data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports and visualizations to communicate SIOP performance and key metrics to stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Digital, to align data and analytics initiatives with SIOP goals.
- Foster a collaborative environment to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Suggest process improvements based on data insights and analytics, with the aim of optimizing the SIOP process.
- Implement best practices to enhance data-driven SIOP performance.
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
- Establish data ownership and access controls.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of experience in data stewardship, data governance, or data management.
- 3+ years of experience in SQL, PowerBI or other data visualization tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong data analysis and data modeling skills.
- Master’s degree in data science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with AWS data architecture and Snowflake data warehouse.
- Experience with Data Cataloguing tools like Atlan.
- Certification in data management, data governance, or related fields.
- Experience in the field of operations, or SIOP.
- Experience with data integration and ETL processes.
- Understanding of industry-specific data compliance and privacy regulations.
- Project management skills for leading data-related initiatives.
- Familiarity with machine learning and predictive analytics.
- Ability to design and implement data governance policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of the SIOP process and its data requirements.
