About the role
Addvolt is seeking a Software Developer with high energy and a strong work ethic to join our Digital Services Team at Porto. We're looking for a passionate, tech-savvy professional eager to grow professionally in the digital industry who is looking for an ambitious challenge.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Software Developer,you’llbe responsible for:
- Work on full stack software development with strong focus on frontend development
- Improve and contribute to current development and engineering practices
- Turn design concepts into polished, accessible, cross-device, responsive experiences
You will be working with the infrastructure that supports Addvolt’s cloud platform. We’re looking for someone passionate about frontend interactions and performance to contribute to this growing and innovative product around the globe, working towards a greener future. You will be working mainly on developing and improving features built primarily in Javascript, React, Python and PostgreSQL.
As a software developer at Addvolt you will also have the chance to integrate in a stable but growing environment setup, open to integrate emerging technologies, and manage our physical architecture towards dealing with different workloads.
Requirements
- Share Addvolt values – transparency, agility and trustworthiness
- Clear and transparent communication
- Relevant experience (professional or open-source) in Javascript (React/Typescript) and web development (+3 years)
- Relevant experience with server-side architectures and NodeJS (+2 years)
- Relevant experience in building interactive dashboards with UI/UX best practices in mind (+2 years)
- Experience coding RESTful APIs or service oriented middleware
- Experience with version control system Git
- Proficient English speaking abilities
Relevant knowledge in at least 3 of the above technical topics is highly valued.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
- Strong focus on user experience with front-end design skillset
- Experience with PostgreSQL database engine
- Possess some domain on Quality Assurance (e2e and unit testing), Devops and Architecture Documentation (e.g. UML 2.0)
- Experience with Python (e.g. Pandas, Numpy)
- Experience with AWS cloud services, namely in EC2, RDS, Elasticache and S3 services
- Experience with AI products
- Experience in scaling applications
