About The Role:

Supervises entry to professional level Mechanical Engineers and product development, test and qualification activities, consults on product quality and safety issues and establishes error and escape reduction goals. Tests design and processing models and produces work order and purchase request components.

Role Responsibilities:

• Managing a team of engineers and act as program lead for Rooftop and Commercial Split Product development projects of significant scope.
• Accountable for the budget, staffing, and management of engineering and business requirements for Light Commercial Rooftop and Split development programs
• Contribute to the development and mentorship of other engineers on the team

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project management and interpersonal skills and the ability to work within an engineering design team
• Experience in the specification, design, development and manufacture of products in the HVAC, refrigeration, compression or aligned industries is ideal. Previous relevant products can be both residential and/or commercial air conditioners (air cooled or water cooled), refrigerators, ice makers, refrigeration equipment, commercial chillers, AHUs
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid flow, heat transfer, and system controls
• Demonstrated creativity in new product design
• Working knowledge of industry test and safety standards
• Working knowledge of manufacturing fabrication and assembly methods
• Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution
• Requires specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices

Pay Range:

$90,263 - $157,959 Annually
