About this role:

The Director of Marketing & Communications Strategy and Transformation will be responsible for helping define and operationalize a holistic marketing and communications transformation strategy and plan along with the central Corporate Marketing and Communications Team and Segments, managing multiple workstreams and interfacing with cross-functional sub-teams. In addition, this role will support the strategic planning process, budget management, and other key strategic initiatives. This role will act as a communication liaison and help oversee daily operations. This role reports directly to the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy:

  • Supports the Corporate Marketing and communications strategic planning process by working with the leadership team to set strategic direction and operating plans. Supports the annual strategic planning process by developing key themes, consolidating key issues and opportunities, providing input on specific topics such as market assessments and situation analysis, and managing the process timeline and schedules.
  • Creates a marketing and communications transformation strategy and plan along with the central Corporate Marketing and Communications Team and Segments and drives execution. Build out an operational plan to achieve objectives. Manages multiple workstreams, from cross-functional sub-teams to agency partners on priority activities. 
  • Leverages data and insights for strategic decision-making, influencing stakeholders.
  • Leads special projects in support of the strategic plan priorities.
  • Establishes metrics and KPIs to track strategic initiatives. Tracks and shares localization execution progress.
  • Supports other strategic presentations and leadership reviews.

Oversee Daily Operations:

  • Manages/ facilitates department meetings. Works on everyday action items, such as project coordination and business administration. Provides recommendations and consultation to improve teamwork across the organization and helps coordinate team-building activities.

Communication Liaison:

  • Responsible for relaying information between the executive team and other staff members. The chief of staff attends key meetings, provides an overall picture of productivity to the executive, and then transmits information to the department heads.

Budget Management:

  • Outlines the department budget and tracks spending.

Competitive Intelligence

  • Supports the department with overall competitors and industry-leading peers benchmarks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 + years of experience in marketing or strategy
  • 5 + years of experience in business analytics and successful marketing program execution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree with an emphasis in marketing or business.
  • Strong project management experience, including strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to prioritize work independently and manage multiple programs.
  • Cross-function team leadership experience.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Strategic planning experience
  • Diverse experience in marketing with broad digital knowledge.
  • Strong influencing skills; can communicate succinctly and creatively to various organizational levels and functions.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and visual graphics). 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven success in building relationships across all levels, internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-country, cross-division, and cross-functional teams and influence business outcomes.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous environments. Demonstrated capability in dealing with complexity and ambiguity.
  • Creative thinker who is motivated by finding dynamic solutions to complex problems.
  • Energetic, resourceful, and hands-on individual.
