About the role

Owns the engineering-to-manufacturing change process: reviews incoming Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), assesses their impact on released product structures within the PLM system (Windchill), and converts approved changes into Manufacturing Changes (MCNs). Ensures bill-of-materials (BOM) accuracy and traceability across all product variants before changes reach the production floor.

Key Responsibilities

As a MCN Coordinator Analyst - Temporary, you'll be responsible for:

  • Read, interpret, and validate ECNs — identify affected parts, revisions and product variants.
  • Maintain and query product structures/BOMs in the PLM system; perform "where-used" analysis to scope full change impact.
  • Compare product structures before/after a change (released vs. work-in-progress) to detect added, removed, or quantity-changed components at any BOM level.
  • Validate that detected differences match engineering intent, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Draft, issue, and track MCNs that document approved production-floor changes (substitutions, quantities, find-number/structure updates).
  • Maintain full traceability: ECN → change evidence → MCN, for audit and quality records.
  • Coordinate timing and cutover with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.
  • Flag parts/changes still in Design or Under Review states that aren't yet ready for production release.
  • Identify and help implement process/tooling improvements to reduce manual effort and rework.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are proactive. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing or technical field.
  • 2+ years in configuration management, product data management, or engineering change management.
  • Hands-on experience with a PLM system (Windchill, Teamcenter, Agile, Enovia, or similar).
  • Strong Excel skills (comparisons, lookups, macro-driven tools).
  • Experience with multi-level BOMs, part revisions, and lifecycle states (Design → Released → Production).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent changes/deadlines.
  • English advanced

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • CM2 or similar Configuration Management certification.
  • Experience in HVAC, industrial equipment, or other variant-heavy manufacturing environment.
  • ERP familiarity (SAP, Oracle) for cross-system part/BOM validation.

Benefits

We offer a competitive total rewards package that may include other benefits and well‑being programs. Offerings vary by role and location and are designed to support employees’ health, security, and success.

If you require a reasonable accommodation to complete the application process, participate in an interview, or otherwise engage in the hiring process, please contact us at Carrier.Recruiting@carrier.com. We will make every effort to meet your needs in accordance with applicable laws.
