Job Description

The Company is starting its journey towards implementing a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Center of Excellence (COE). The FP&A COE will be a critical enabler of productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness for the broad Finance FP&A function across the enterprise by improving quality, visibility, accuracy, scalability, and automation. The FP&A COE will comprise of a central team led by the VP Finance and FP&A leader and regional teams covering the Americas and Asia Pacific.

The Role

The Director and Americas FP&A COE leader will be responsible for the development, implementation, and leadership for the company’s Americas FP&A COE. The Americas FP&A COE leader will play a key role in the development of the overall FP&A COE strategy, in partnership with the Finance Leadership Team, and lead the successful execution of this strategy for all businesses located in the Americas. Working closely with the Finance transformation team and project steering committee, the Americas FP&A COE leader will develop a detailed project plan defining key activities to be performed by the FP&A COE versus what should be performed by the business unit FP&A teams.

The Americas FP&A COE leader will ensure proper alignment of FP&A COE resources and activities globally to enable the Company’s technology roadmap, ensuring successful implementation of business and financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of a Center of Excellence for Financial Planning and Analysis, for the Americas region (including the Global Headquarters):
    • Partner with Corporate FP&A and the business unite FP&A teams to define the FP&A COE vision and strategy and implement the same in the Mexico hub
    • Define and execute the project plan to transition FP&A work from across the Americas to the COE in Mexico, while maintaining business continuity and performance
    • Execute “lift and shift” transitions, where appropriate
    • Recruit in region talent aligned with COE strategy and skill/capability requirements according to project staffing plans
  • Lead the FP&A COE team to:
    • Execute financial reporting, business planning, budgeting and forecasting, validating the accuracy of financial data and business information and reports.
    • Drive monthly financial reviews with CFO’s and market business leaders.
    • Analyze trend analysis and key performance metrics, closely cooperating with key stakeholders to shape business performance.
    • Implement change management and standard work to standardization, enabling process efficiency, and managing ambiguity.
    • Optimize business performance and increase productivity by implementing automated solutions and eliminating duplication.
    • Act as trusted business partner, leverage financial and business expertise to drive financial decisions effectively.
    • Build and develop an engaged and highly effective team of FP&A professionals through recruitment, coaching and motivation.
    • Coordinate financial system implementations to improve FP&A capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in the Finance function of multinational corporations
    • 7 years demonstrated leadership in FP&A
    • 5 years in a shared services leadership positions with demonstrated large scale transformation.
    • Bachelor´s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean/ 6 sigma expertise or experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Interpersonal Skills – ability to articulate thoughts clearly, active listening and comprehension.
  • Ability to drive actions and deliver in an ambiguous & uncertain environment.
  • Ability to establish encouraging and collaborative relationships with superiors, peers & subordinates.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Change agent mindset with a strong collaborative approach
