About this role

The Finance Internship Program is a 12-week early-career program designed to expose interns to Carrier’s business segments and finance functions at a New York Stock Exchange-listed company with market-leading products and services used by customers worldwide. 

Interns will build upon their formal education while developing their professional network and experiencing a culture that values ethics, sustainability, and financial performance. Throughout the program, interns will strengthen their analytical and communication skills while gaining a greater appreciation for teamwork and leadership. This experience can help differentiate candidates when applying to Carrier’s Finance Leadership Program (FLP). Interns will also have opportunities to network across multiple business functions and segments and learn from current FLP associates and alumni. 

Key Responsibilities 

Interns will support one of Carrier’s business segments or functions, such as WHQ, HVAC, or Transportation. Specific roles and responsibilities will be defined by the Finance team that each intern supports. Finance teams may include Controllership & Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Operations or Factory Finance, and other Finance areas.

The Finance Internship Program is an engaging, hands-on learning opportunity that requires active participation in presentations, training sessions, networking opportunities, and program events.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business field.

• Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher

• Must be a US Citizen or eligible to work in US without sponsorship 

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work experience preferred

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Leadership roles in extracurricular organizations or part-time job while in school

• Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint 

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $43,500.00 - $87,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.

Other Compensation

This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
