WHO WE ARE

Addvolt is a Portuguese technology company specializing in the electrification of transport refrigeration and auxiliary systems for commercial vehicles. Founded in Porto, Portugal, Addvolt developed pioneering plug-in electric solutions that enable refrigerated vehicles to operate with significantly reduced diesel consumption, lower emissions and reduced noise levels.

Since May 2025, Addvolt has been part of Carrier, a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions. The combination of Addvolt’s expertise in electrification, power electronics and energy management with Carrier Transicold’s leadership in transport refrigeration is accelerating the transition towards more sustainable and efficient cold chain operations.

Today, Addvolt’s technology supports a wide range of electrified refrigeration solutions, including advanced battery systems, energy recovery technologies, intelligent power management and connected monitoring platforms. These innovations help fleet operators reduce operating costs, improve sustainability performance and comply with increasingly stringent environmental regulations.

Operating as part of Carrier Transicold, Addvolt continues to innovate from its engineering and technology hub in Portugal, supporting customers across Europe and contributing to the development of the next generation of electric transport refrigeration solutions.
