About this role
This role will be responsible for long term supply plans that support demand requirements and are aligned to financial plans. You will implement and maintain a SIOP supply planning process to optimize lead time, service and inventory levels. You implement medium and long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, continuity of supply, and inventory in support of business growth.
This role will be responsible for European CHVAC supply planning that includes 3 manufacturing sites.
Purpose:
Drive the SIOP Supply planning process. Ensures the plan includes stocking and capacity levels to meet global customer requirements as well as achieving the company’s financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
Oversees long term supply planning activities including supply and demand balancing and long-term capacity planning.
Work closely with Demand and Supply Chain teams to translate and validate demand plans in a 3 to18 month horizon as part of an input to the monthly Executive SIOP while optimizing customer delivery and inventory levels
Identify key data needs, metrics, inputs that will help drive the correct business decisions in the overall SIOP process. Understand and communicate plan changes, risks and overall process performance
Spearhead monthly supply planning meeting with manufacturing locations and materials teams to ensure the supply plans are in line with the demand plan. Facilitate decisions around materials, equipment, labor and all other resources needed to support demand over the SIOP planning horizon
Collaborate with Sales, Demand Planning, Material Managers and Production Planning group to generate recommendations to solve capacity issues and support long term sales demand
Measure, analyze and report key SIOP supply metrics, while monitoring adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs)
Manage long-term rough-cut capacity views with scenario planning, being able to identify constraints and escalate exceptions for business consideration with the suggestion of possible scenarios and solutions.
Identify, resolve and escalate supply chain risks including but not limited to, production disruptions and inventory shortages
Provide regular updates on supply status, risks and opportunities to all key internal partners
Lead Inventory Management Process for designated BU. Collaborate with sites and business units to drive DIOH targets
Manage inventory of new and phase out products with key business partners via product life cycle management process
Play a key role to E&O inventory reviews, root cause analysis and develop action plans to reduce excess inventory
Deliverables:
Feasibility of the SIOP supply plan
Identified Gaps/risks to the committed supply plan (family level) and scenarios to resolve
Facilitation of monthly regional Supply SIOP Reviews
Ensures full alignment of Demand/Supply/Financial Plans
Customer on-time delivery
Days on hand inventory improvement
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
7+ years of experience in Supply Chain (SIOP, Forecasting, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Materials Management, Master Planning, Scheduling)
Knowledge & Experience:
Advanced business knowledge, general management, and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams.
Action oriented, results driven with strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and effectively manage multiple projects at the same time
Demonstrated effective project management skills and experience.
Strong business acumen specific to Inventory, Revenue, Units, and Margin.

Establishes and implements strategies with significant impact on the achievement of results.
Focus is on long-term supply planning to balance demand and supply plans, which may require substantial development of new processes, standards, or operational plans to achieve strategies.

Extensively analyzes supply gaps, constraints, unbalances, to seek understanding of the underlying issue and root cause of the problem.
Responsible for improving upon entire processes or systems, leveraging on personal past experiences and in-depth understanding of best practices in the marketplace that may improve the competitive position of the organization.
Provide guidance and leadership to implement changes, which may be transformational and have broad impact on the achievement of results for the organization.
Communication & Influence:
Communicates with parties within own business unit/region, including leadership levels (financial, operations leaders, P&L owner, etc.)
Works to influence others or may negotiate with internal and external parties to accept concepts, practices and approaches of the work area.
Requires ability to communicate with senior executive leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization. May conduct briefings to senior leaders both within and outside of the job function.
Represent the “face” of the organization to the public within area of expertise. Requires the ability to influence the strategic vision of the organization.
Preferred requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Operations preferred
Strong knowledge of S&OE and S&OP with implementation experience
Master’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Finance or equivalent
Ability to build cross-functional relationships through strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with inventory optimization and advanced tools for planning and inventory management
Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with $1B+ businesses and MTO/ETO manufacturing environments.
