About the role
The Rental Operations Leader is a pivotal role which entails overseeing and guiding all aspects of Rental operations. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the business's seamless coordination and productivity through the adept implementation and management of policies and procedures. The most crucial task of overseeing customer service to deliver exceptional experiences and promptly address any concerns is a key critical task.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Operations Leader, you’ll be responsible for:
- Liaise with the Rental Country Manager to make decisions for operational activities and to set strategic goals.
- Regularly evaluate business procedures according to organizational objectives to identify operational inefficiencies and develop action plans to drive improvement.
- Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the Field Operations, Business Systems, EH&S, Quality and Purchasing organizations to ensure smooth progress.
- Manage the procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation.
- Provide guidance and support to local employees in the selection, training, and onboarding of requirements.
- Oversee the implementation of efficient processes and standards aligning with Carrier V2.0.
- Play a prominent role in the implementation and adoption of new Project Management solutions.
- Coordinate customer service operations and find opportunities to continuously improve the customer delivery model to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Report on operational performance and suggest improvements.
- Ensure regulatory and other compliance with local and national laws i.e. standards.
- Manage contracts and relations with all stakeholders toward successful implementation and execution of processes.
- Evaluate risk and lead Quality Assurance efforts.
- Evaluate expenses and budgeting and field costs to help the organization optimize costs and benefits.
- Mentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement.
- Review financial information and adjust operating and field expenses to promote profitability.
- Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
- Support the achievement of revenue and margin growth targets.
- Technical understanding of engineering and drawings is a must.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft, project management tools and other related platforms like S.A.P.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
- Implement improvements and best practices to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure cost-effectiveness across the organization.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. This includes addressing safety concerns, data security, and other operational risks.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for staff and regularly track and report on their performance to senior management.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between different teams and departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to operations.
- Promote learning and development opportunities for employees and regularly assess and refine processes.
- Stay informed about relevant industry regulations and ensure that the organization complies with all legal requirements.
Requirements

As a minimum you must have:
- University Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Extensive experience of mechanical Services Management, and/or Operations Management experience.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with employees and managers alike to foster motivation and teamwork.
- Experienced in consultation with staff and the management team to maintain organization and effective team communication.
- Experience in optimizing business functionality by making process improvements and managing quality assurance programs.
- Experience using industry ERP systems, and other business applications.
- Oversee quality control measures to ensure that all HVAC rental equipment is well-maintained, clean, and in excellent working condition before being delivered to clients.
- Responsible for supervising and managing the rental team, including HVAC technicians, logistics personnel, and support staff. They ensure that all team members are adequately trained and motivated to perform their duties effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to establish creative approaches to problem solve.
- Demonstrated ability to influence individuals and organizations to implement change.
- Strong analytical skills in combination with sound business judgment to build and sustain financial performance and integrity.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, negotiation skills and customer focus.
- Ability to lead motivate effective and efficient teams.
