About the role
We are looking for a QA talent to ensuring continuity of key responsibilities and sustained support for Quality initiatives besides ensuring that the quality of Carrier suppliers, products and processes are compliant with internal and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As the QA Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
- Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
- Develops and manages plans, guidelines, policies and processes, to ensure the achievement of quality targets.
- Leads implementation of organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.
- Oversees quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), FPY and escapes.
- Manages teams, collecting and analyzing quality information from multiple sources to develop long-term quality strategy and programs.
- Manages teams, providing production process analyses, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for quality improvement.
- Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
- Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met.
- Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
- Supplier quality management.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives through quality data analytics and automation tools.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 & applicable regulatory requirements, serving as the QMS Management Representative.
Requirements:
As a minimum you must have:
- Degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical
- Experience in mechanical manufacturing environments with hands-on work involving mechanical components, production processes, and inspection methods & HVAC knowledge will be an added advantage
- At least 5 years of QA experience, experience with quality digitalization is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Skilled in managing inspection, testing, and quality documentation.
- Demonstrated capability to address customer complaints, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Should be able to present a quality event detailing root cause, corrective action, and preventive measures; strong problem-solving skills required (present one example during interview session).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Experience in conducting supplier audits, managing suppliers, and performing production floor audits.
- Strong understanding of RRCA quality tools, including 8D, pFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, and others.
- Ability to lead and develop a QA team
