About the role

Under specific direction of Senior Sales Engineer, responsible for the sale of Carrier Products & Services to primary decision makers focusing within end users and service providers (e.g. contractors, consultants), whilst building and maintaining long-term customer relationships and using company defined sales processes & tools.

Requirements

As a minimum you must have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have: 

  • Fluent in written and verbal communications skills.
  • Good communication.
  • Good knowledge about the market.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Relevant HR functional experience of 3-5 years, ideally in Talent development or HR generalist or similar functional expertise area with a multi-national organization
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders, assertive by conviction and collaborative by nature with strong people skills
  •  digital literacy competence for MS Office (PPT/Word/Excel ),
  • Arabic native speaker with good command of English as working language.

Main responsibilities:

As a Senior Sales Engineer, you’ll be responsible for: 

  • Promotes the Carrier value proposition to customers by understanding and linking the customer’s operational and business objectives, needs and requirements to Carrier solutions in order to provide a total value solution and competitive advantage.
  • Builds and manages long-term customer relationships/partnerships and responsible for customer satisfaction through executing the sales process.
  • Seeks out, qualifies and closes new sales opportunities, with a specific focus on new business growth.
  • Builds knowledge of competitor’s business strategies, products and services to favorably differentiate Carrier from them.
  • Creates under specific direction competitive, high quality and timely estimates, bids, proposals, and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Verifies new proposals and bids with manager prior to customer presentation. Under specific direction, negotiates value and impact to the customer’s business in order to close the sale.
  • Under specific direction, negotiates terms & conditions that optimize Accounts Receivable (A/R) and ensures that Carrier financial standards are fully adhered to keeps manager informed of changes in the marketplace and progress on customer status. Calls for assistance from manager to keep the sales process moving.
  • Utilizes applicable sales tools effectively to plan and document progress as well as to increase business growth. Leverages Carrier sales process to close sales quickly.
  • Develops network of contacts, solicits support from and communicates effectively with the broader Carrier organization to promote customer satisfaction whilst respecting Carrier strategies, processes and tools. Refers leads to other business segments.
