A Global Account Manager (GAM) will focus on business development and sales across multiple regions (North America, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC). This role involves managing and expanding relationships with Carrier’s top-tier global customers in key verticals (e.g., Commercial Real Estate, Retail, Financial, and Hospitality) while driving HVAC equipment, controls, and service sales through strategic collaboration.
The ideal candidate will be located near a major international airport to enable efficient global travel and engagement with stakeholders across geographies.
About This Role:
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a self-directed and results-oriented Global Account Manager (GAM) to join our Global Sales Team. This position will focus on business development, expanding strategic partnerships, and growing HVAC equipment, controls, and service sales globally. The GAM will manage relationships with high-profile clients that have significant international portfolios, ensuring alignment across global and regional teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
This role will require frequent engagement with cross-functional teams, such as sales, operations, and marketing, across various countries to ensure cohesive strategies and seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Business Development and Account Strategy:
Conduct market analysis and identify key global customer growth opportunities across core verticals (Retail, Hospitality, Real Estate, etc.). Develop and implement strategic global account plans that align with customers' long-term business goals and Carrier’s regional growth priorities.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain senior-level relationships with global customer decision-makers (e.g., C-suite, VP of Facilities) to strengthen Carrier’s position as a trusted global partner. Serve as the primary point of contact for global clients, ensuring consistent communication across all regions and business units.
Sales Growth Across Equipment, Controls, and Services:
Collaborate with regional teams to grow sales of light commercial and applied equipment, building automation solutions, and aftermarket services (repairs, maintenance agreements, upgrades).
Framework Agreements and Contracts:
Develop and leverage global framework agreements (Master Service Agreements, Purchasing Agreements, etc.) to standardize procurement processes and drive increased share of wallet globally.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with regional Carrier Commercial Sales, Service, and Controls teams to coordinate sales efforts and ensure alignment on key initiatives. Facilitate internal collaboration across sales, marketing, and operations teams to enhance Carrier’s competitive position.
Project Tracking and Reporting:
Track global account activity, ensuring accurate reporting in Salesforce. Keep internal and external stakeholders informed of key project milestones, customer needs, and unique requirements (e.g., customized HVAC configurations).
Customer Training and Solutioning:
Provide technical and product training to key customers, focusing on how Carrier’s advanced HVAC, controls, and digital solutions (Abound) can meet their business goals and ESG targets.
Market Feedback and Product Alignment:
Gather customer feedback and share insights with internal teams to align Carrier’s product development, marketing, and service offerings with customer needs across regions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree.
7+ years of experience in the Commercial HVAC or building systems industry.
5+ years of experience in strategic or global account management.
Ability to travel 30% of the time domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing.
Experience in the HVAC or building systems industry.
Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-region customer accounts.
Strong negotiation and business development experience, including success in securing multi-year contracts and agreements.
Experience working in a global, matrixed environment, coordinating cross-regional and cross-functional teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage C-suite stakeholders across multiple geographies.
Strong strategic planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience using Salesforce for tracking account activity, sales forecasts, and pipeline development.
Familiarity with ESG trends and sustainability frameworks (LEED, WELL, etc.) to support customer sustainability initiatives.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Pay Range:
