About the role

The GES Technical Application Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive technical application support for Carrier’s air‑conditioning product portfolio (RLC & VRF). This role partners closely with the global sales team, channel partners, engineering, product management, suppliers, and other functional teams to ensure customers receive best‑in‑class technical guidance, product knowledge, and training.

The role also includes responsibilities in CFD simulation support, sales tool development, new product introduction collaboration, and providing technical leadership across geographies.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain deep technical knowledge across all RLC & VRF product lines.

  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and identify product gaps through collaboration with product management, sales, and engineering teams.

  • Participate in new product introduction activities.

  • Simulate CFD models based on customer project requirements.

  • Deliver CFD result reports that meet customer timelines and satisfaction expectations.

  • Achieve annual CFD performance targets aligned with supervisor guidance.

  • Proofread and validate technical content in catalogues, manuals, AV materials, and other sales tools.

  • Support development and improvement of selection software, diagnostic tools, plan/spec tools, and benchmarking tools.

  • Provide technical support during seminars, trade shows, and exhibitions.

  • Provide day to day technical support to sales teams and channel partners.

  • Develop technical materials, presales material and application resources for sales enablement.

  • Support project design activities and produce presales technical documentation.

  • Develop and enhance training materials in collaboration with suppliers and partners.

  • Support execution of annual training programs for employees and channel partners.

  • Build “train the trainer” capability across regions.

  • Contribute to planning and setup of training centers for Carrier or channel partners.

  • Deliver public speaking engagements as a technical expert at distributor and customer events.

  • Collaborate with marketing and product management on support materials for new products.

  • Support field reports and quality management initiatives.

  • Contribute to any assigned projects that benefit the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering License, or Master’s in a technical discipline (Mechanical or Electronics preferred).

  • Minimum 5+ years of HVAC technical or sales engineering experience.

  • Strong technical foundation in HVAC design, application engineering, and project management.

  • Excellent communication and multi‑functional influencing skills across engineering, sales, marketing, product management, after‑market and leadership teams.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global team members in multiple time zones.

  • Demonstrated customer relationship management experience.

  • High attention to detail, urgency, and customer‑focused problem solving.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; preferred proficiency in Revit, Cradle, SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D/3D.

  • Strong written and presentation skills in English.
